About Heater Blower Fan Motor

The Fiesta Ford heater blower fan motor is responsible for moving air through the car's cabin heating (and if fitted cooling) system. Much like a desk fan the heater blower motor rotates a fan which causes air to be forced through the ducting and out the vents in the car's dashboard or floor.

The Fiesta Ford heater blower fan motor is generally located behind the car's dashboard and is connected to a network of ducts which allow the fan to move air to various areas of the interior. The motor has a resistor which allows the speed to be varied via a switch or lever on the dashboard.

The FiestaFord heater blower fan motor can fail due to a bad connections, damaged wiring or switch, a blown fuse, a worn resistor, worn motor or because the fan is stuck or jammed against another internal component.

Ford Fiesta trivia

  • For the last ten years, the Ford Fiesta has outsold every other make and model of car in the UK, making it the best-selling car in the country. It is estimated that for every 20 cars that get sold in the UK, one is a Fiesta.
  • Since its debut in 1976, there have been an estimated 4,339,148 Ford Fiestas sold in the UK alone. Across Europe, there have been sales of more than 18 million.
  • The beautiful Fiesta XR2 was the first model to be able to hit 100mph! Released in 1981, the XR2 also had auxiliary driving lamps, which was as odd then as it is now.
  • Every engine in a Fiesta is engineered and assembled in Britain.
  • If you were still driving an original 1976 Ford Fiesta, you would be producing around the same amount of emissions as you get from driving 80 modern-day models.
