Nissan Note trivia

  • The Nissan Note vanished from the new car list in March 2017. The removal of the Note meant that Nissan had no version of a compact MPV available as they shifted to the SUV market.
  • There’s a unique version of the Nissan Note that’s been designed based on inspiration from sports-brand Adidas. Shown off at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, the car let owners interchange the fabrics and rubber used on the interior and exterior.
  • Although the Nissan Note only received four out of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash testing, it was also one of the first cars to have to cope with a more demanding series of tests. Despite that, it still scored very highly on adult and child passenger protection.
  • The predecessor to the Nissan Note was the Almera, which was being made in Washington, England until 2006. When production on the Almera stopped, the Nissan Note took its place and was also made in the Washington factory until production ceased on the Note.
  • The Nissan Note has a 92bhp 1.2-litre Nissan engine that can manage 65.7mpg. However, if you drive more than 12,000 miles in a year in your Note, then you might want to look at the diesel option which gets 78.5mpg.
