About Door Card Trim

The GT86 Toyota door card trim panel is commonly covered in a matching finish to the vehicle's interior and may have removable extra trim.

The panel is held in place with trim clips and may require special tools to remove. The door card trim removal also requires the removal of any electrical controls, i.e., electric window switches, door handles, electric window control and locking buttons.

Care is required when ordering to ensure that any extra trim is included, bearing in mind what can be salvaged from the original door card trim.

Reasons for replacement usually involve damage through wear and tear. GT86 Toyota door card trim will ensure complete compatibility with the make and model of your vehicle.

Toyota trivia

  • Although Toyota started making its first cars in 1937, these were specifically produced to contribute to Japan's war effort. It wasn't until 1947 that they started producing cars for civilians.
  • Without the US, Toyota very likely wouldn't exist today as we know it. In 1950, the car company was struggling to fight off bankruptcy and only managed to make 300 trucks until the Korean War kicked off. The US then put in an order for 5,000 vehicles, transforming the company and its future.
  • The company is proud of the fact (and very vocal about it, rightly) that it spends $1million EVERY HOUR on research and development.
  • As well as the best selling car of all time, Toyota is also responsible for the longest-running production on a car model ever. The Toyota model Land Cruiser started production in 1951, and as of 2019 has sold over 10 million units!
  • As well as their other records, Toyota is known to consistently break sales records as well. It's not just the Corolla either. They have been so successful some years that they outsold Honda and Nissan combined!
