About Panel Fronts

The Chevrolet front panel is a pressed steel or plastic car body part that makes up the front face of the vehicle. It's designed to be specific to the make and model of your vehicle.

This rigid piece connects the two front wings. The Chevrolet front panel is bolted to the front of the chassis and to the left and right wings. Forming an integral part of the car body, the Chevrolet front panel functions to protect the vehicle, passengers and driver inside the car, forming part of the car body.

The front panel usually houses the radiator grille, sometimes headlights and indicators and the engine bonnet lock. The car badge is often displayed on the front panel of the vehicle.

The usual reason for replacement of this part is frontal crash damage.

Chevrolet trivia

  • The founder of Chevrolet held the speed world record before he built the Chevrolet Motor Car Company.
  • The weirdest Chevrolet experiment was the Chevrolet Turbo Titan II in 1965. This was the same year as the first US spacewalk, and the car has a real space theme happening. Most bizarrely, it didn't have a steering wheel and instead had two large dials so that it looked more like a games console controller or DJ desk than a car.
  • The first Chevrolet was the iconic series C Classic Six. It sold for the very low price of just $2,150. That's about £1700 in proper money.

  • There's a version of the Corvette that is very different from its counterparts. The Corvette Grand Sport is much lighter than traditional designs, but the car was built at a time when General Motors were stopping projects. Only five of the cars were made, and the hefty price tag of £6-8 million means that they are all in the hands of private collectors.
