About Steering Column Stroud Covers
A Fiatsteering column stroud cover is a component that is designed to preserve the integrity of the steering column in front of the dashboard of the car. The steering column is the mechanism that connects the steering wheel to the steering mechanism and transfers the input of the driver, in turning the steering wheel, to the movement of the wheels themselves. In addition, the steering column section of the car houses various electrical components and wires as this location allows easy access to other areas of the electrical system such as the fuse box.
A Fiatsteering column stroud cover is generally made from plastic and is coloured black. It comes in two separate pieces. One of these is fitted below the steering column whilst the other is attached to the top side. Both sections have pre-drilled screw holes. These two pieces are joined together to completely enclose the steering column.
As it is important to ensure that no part of the steering column is exposed, it is essential to replace the Fiatsteering column stroud cover if it is damaged. The part is inexpensive and easily replaceable. Because of its straightforward design it is also relatively simple to fix a new Fiatsteering column stroud cover to a car’s steering column.

- While the name Fiat is an acronym of 'Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino', it also translates to 'so be it' in Italian!
- The 1999 Fiat Multipla has been consistently voted one of the strangest car designs of all time. It’s easy to see why, with the odd light placement, a muffin-shaped top, and two rows of three seats (in the front!). A redesign in 2004 made the Multipla much more popular.
- When it was made, the Fiat 500 was one of the smallest cars in the world! It was only 127 inches long and 50 inches wide! Italians have a nickname for the Fiat 500, calling it the 'Topolino', which translates to the little mouse.
- During the extended car chase in the film The Italian Job, the Mini Coopers and police Alfa Romeos drive around the rooftop track of the Fiat factory in Turin. Fiat actually offered the
