About Upper Ball Jointss

The Subaruupper ball joint is an important component of a motor vehicle’s suspension system. it works in a similar fashion to the hip joint of a human being.  Depending on the make and model of the vehicle, there are either two or four ball joints. If there are only two, these are located at the bottom of the wheel hub. The Subaruupper ball joint is present in vehicles with a “shock and springs” suspension system.

The Subaruupper ball joint is made from a metal ball that is contained in a metal  capsule. The upper ball joint can move horizontally, vertically and can also rotate, acting as a shock absorber. The Subaruupper ball joint is almost always fitted to the front suspension only, although in some higher model vehicles they are also fitted to the rear suspension.

Upper ball joints become worn over time, as with most motor car components, especially if their rubber casing cracks, allowing lubricant to leak out or dirt and/or water to get in.

Indicators that an Subaruupper ball joint may have suffered damage and lost its effectiveness are the existence of a banging noise when the car travels over uneven roads, steering problems and excessive wear on the edges of the tyres.

Subaru trivia

  • The Subaru name comes from the Pleiades constellation. The word means 'united' in Japanese.
  • The Subaru company has been partnered with the ASPCA since 2008 and have donated millions to the animal charity. They are clearly animal lovers, and the Subaru Tribeca was once voted the best vehicle for travelling with pets. When you buy a Subaru from an official dealer, you get invited to return for a photo-shoot with your dog!
  • Owners of the Subaru Forester and the Subaru Outback have a strange obsession with car stickers. It is very rare to find one that hasn't got multiple stickers on the back. Like badges for scouts, Subaru encourages this trend with their Badge of Ownership stickers and lifestyle icons.
  • Subaru will provide customers with a turbocharged version of their standard passenger vehicles. One of the most popular models to get this upgrade is the Impreza WRX.
  • One of the most important parts of any Subaru car is the boxer engine. This type of engine has been in every single Subaru for the last 45 years.
