Ford have scooped 6 awards at the recent 2014 VansA2Z Awards in the UK.
The total of 6 awards was an increase of 1 over the previous years total of 5 and an increase of 3 over the 2012 total of 3 awards.
The awards won by Ford at the 2014 VansA2Z awards were:
Van of the year – for the new Transit which is available towards the end of the month.
Large Panel Van of the year – the new Transit. 2nd award for the awards.
Light Van of the year – the new Transit Connect. This vehicle has also won International van of the year 2014 at another awards.
Diesel Eco Van of the year – for the new Transit Custom. This was the second year in a row this van won this same award.
Small panel van of the year – for the new Transit Custom, its second award of the awards.
Small Van of the year – the Ford Fiesta Van. This is the second year in a row this vehicle has won this award.
David Gregory is the chief programme engineer at Ford global commercial vehicles and this is what he has to say about the all-new Ford commercial vehicle range: “Ford has invested heavily into its all-new commercial vehicle range, resulting in modern aesthetics, innovative design features and the latest in high-tech, low-CO2 powertrains. Credit for these latest accolades must go to the many Ford designers, engineers and vehicle testing staff who have worked tirelessly to deliver such revolutionary products.”
Including all the commercial vehicles that won awards above, the new Ford Transit Courier is to be released in the summer, adding to the already excellent range of commercial vehicles.
