The Honda S2000 is expected for re-release in 2017. The S2000 was in production from 1999-2009 and we have a full review of this vehicle which you can view by clicking here. The new S2000 is expected to be quite a bit different than the previous roadster version, and it is said that it is going to be a sports coupe. It is set to have a new sharp looking design, which is set to be nothing like any Honda currently on the market, although similar in design to the other proposed Honda sports cars. As Honda aim to make an impact in the sports car segment, they are also set to release a new version of the NSX and an S660. The new NSX will be the flagship vehicle in terms of performance and the S660 will have a 3 cylinder turbo engine, and will be the smallest of the three sports cars. The new S2000 is set to sit between these two cars. The new S2000 will have the same 4-cylinder 2.0L turbo engine which is set to be used in the upcoming Honda Civic Type-R. This engine will offer somewhere around a very capable 350bhp and is reckoned that it will have hybrid technology which is developed alongside the McLaren F1 team. It will be capable of 0-62mph in around 5 seconds and still have a reasonable fuel economy of around 40mpg. When released in 2017, the new S2000 is expected to cost around £35,000.
