The Duster has fast become the best selling model of the French automobile manufacturing company Renault.
The Duster has just passed the 1 million units sold landmark in just under 4 years, which is very quick for any vehicle reaching this target. This vehicle is marketed as either the Renault Duster or the Dacia Duster, depending on which market.
The low prices and exceptional value for money have been massive factors in drawing people to this vehicle. It is marketed as the Dacia Duster in the UK and the rest of Europe.
The 1millionth vehicle was produced at the Renault factory in Brazil and the Duster is marketed in over 100 countries worldwide. The vehicle is also produced in factories in four other countries worldwide: Romania, Russia, India and Colombia.
Arnaud Deboeuf is the Entry Programme Director of the Renault Group and this is what he had to say about the success of the Duster model: “Duster is a truly global success story. With Renault branding, it perfectly meets the demands of our international customers and is contributing to Renault’s expansion in emerging markets. At the same time, the Dacia-badged version sold in Europe and our Mediterranean Basin markets has succeeded in attracting a new clientele to the brand thanks to the styling and genuine all-terrain capability it delivers for an affordable price. Duster is definitely a model that is winning us new customers.”
