Daihatsu Cuore Overview

The Daihatsu Cuore is classed as a city car and is produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Daihatsu. This vehicle has been in production since 1980 across eight generations and is also marketed as the Daihatsu Mira, Domino and in more recent years as the Charade. These cars are very small little city cars which are cheap to buy and considered very reliable. There may be better options out there for the money but they are also very cheap to run. Some of these cars are known for their suspension problems and are not the best to drive. Does this sound anything like your experience of the Daihatsu Cuore?

Daihatsu Cuore History

The first generation (1976-80) was originally known as the Daihatsu Max, then the Max Cuore in 77 and the first time the Coure name was used on its own in 79. The second generation (1980-85) was available in a few different variations. The third generation (1985-90) was slightly larger than the previous versions. The fourth generation (1990-94) was the most popular version of this vehicle to date. The fifth generation (1994-98) had a new look and was the first version to have a four cylinder engine. The sixth generation (1998-2002) was the first version to have the larger 1.0L engine for export markets. The seventh generation (2002-06) had a new modern looking design. The eighth generation (2006-present) is the current version on the market.

The Daihatsu Cuore is available in 0.65, 0.85 and 1.0L petrol engines, although the smaller engines are only available in Japan, with the 1.0L version available for export markets. The 1.0L engine offers up to 55mpg which is pretty good. What was the fuel economy like on your Cuore? The age, fuel type and engine size are determining factors when considering fuel economy.
