BMW 325i History

The BMW 325i was first introduced in 1985 in the second generation (1982-91) 3-series range. During the third generation (1990-99) the 325i was replaced with the 328i in 1996and would mean a 5 year break for the 325. In 2001 during the fourth generation (1998-2006) 3-series, a new engine range was introduced and the 2.5L 325i would make a re-appearance. The 3.0L 325i was introduced in this generation. The current sixth generation (2012-present) is the version in production and there is also a 325 diesel version available.
