Daihatsu Terios Overview

The Daihatsu Terios is classed as a mini SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) which is produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Daihatsu. This vehicle has been in production since 1997 up until the present day. These vehicles share their engines with the Daihatsu Charade and are built to meet Japanese Kei car regulations. They are great off-road vehicles which are available in 2WD or 4WD. They are stylish looking vehicles which are good value for money. They are not very well refined and are a firm ride, especially on-road. They are reliable but there are no diesel engines available. Does this sound like your experience of this vehicle?

Daihatsu Terios History

The first generation (1997-2005) had either a 0.65 or 1.3L engine, with the 0.65L only being available in the smaller Terios Kid for the Japanese market. The 1.3L engine was more for the export markets outside Japan. There was a slight makeover to the vehicle in 2000 which mainly affected the exterior and interior of the vehicle. The black plastic grille was replaced with a chrome one. The second generation (2006-present) gave this vehicle a new look, making it look more sporty. This version is wider than its predecessor and can seat up to seven people. This is the current version on the market.
