About Interior Lights
The Citroeninterior light in a motor vehicle is one of the more useful aids to a driver and passengers. Its operation is simple yet extremely effective, ensuring that whenever one of the doors of the vehicle is opened, the Citroeninterior light is activated, enabling the interior of the car and its contents to be clearly visible in even the darkest of conditions.
In most vehicles the Citroeninterior light is positioned within the vehicle immediately above the dashboard or around the ceiling. In some larger models of car there is more than one Citroeninterior light to ensure that light is shed around the whole of the vehicle’s interior. The Citroeninterior light unit connects to the vehicle’s battery independent of the ignition system, enabling it to be engaged at any time that one of the doors is opened.
Some interior lights are capable of being tilted in order to cast light on a specific spot within the vehicle. There are generally three basic controls that are available for the use of a standard Citroeninterior light. The usual mode enables the light to switch one when one of the vehicle doors is opened and to switch off (sometimes with a short delay period) when the door is closed. Alternative settings are permanently on and permanently off.
The Citroeninterior light serves as a useful aid to drivers and passengers in all vehicles during the hours of darkness.
Citroen trivia
- At a recent count, Citroën cars have appeared in just under 1,800 films, with the most famous being the Citroën used in the James Bond film, For Your Eyes Only. That film even had a tie-in car, a special edition Citroën that was emblazoned with the 007 logo and optional bullet hole stickers for the windows.
- In 2019, the Citroën DS was voted in the UK as the 'coolest car ever', with writers and marketers calling it the Brigitte Bardot of cars. In second place was the E-Type Jag…
- In 1968, Citroën bought control of the Italian car firm Maserati. That purchase led to the design of the Citroën GT, which came with hydro-pneumatic suspension and a V6 engine. It did well in terms of sales, but production of the last version, the DS23 Pallas Electronique, was stopped in 1975 after the '73 oil crisis.
- John Lennon appeared in an advert for the Citroën DS3, many years after his death. The advert caused quite a lot of public criticism for Yoko Ono, who agreed to the musician's likeness being used.
- Buying Maserati was definitely a mistake for Citroën. The SM model didn't sell well, and that led to financial difficulties that meant the car company was eventually acquired by Peugeot.
