About Heater Direction Control Switchs
A vehicle’s Jaguar heater direction control switch is positioned on the heater control panel and situated in the dashboard of a vehicle. Its function is to adjust the direction of the heating in the vehicle.
The heater inside the vehicle uses the heat from the engine, which is converted in to hot air and blown in to the vehicle’s passenger compartment.
When heat is built up in the engine, it’s transferred to the coolant, which is passed to the exhaust and radiator to protect the engine from overheating. The heater is attached to the radiator. When the passenger in the vehicle turns the dials on the controls the heat from the heater’s core is transferred to the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The driver can then use the Jaguar heater direction control switch to choose where the heat is distributed in the vehicle.
It is important to make sure your vehicle’s heating system is working correctly, as a damaged heating system could indicate that the vehicle’s engine cooling system is also not working. If you notice the vehicle’s heating system is not working, then it’s important to get it checked as soon as possible to prevent engine damage.
Jaguar trivia
- Transporting a load of Jaguars isn't easy. When being loaded onto trains, every car is driven by a driver that isn't wearing a seatbelt. Those drivers aren't allowed to wear belts, and they even have to get rid of any metal eyelets on their shoes. This is all to prevent the possibility of scratches, and what's more, the drivers aren't even allowed to touch the outside of the cars!
- To show off just how light the F-Pace SUV was, Jaguar built a loop and the SUV not only tackled it but completed the loop on its first go. The feat earned Jaguar a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
- The first-ever XK120 rolled off the production line and was delivered immediately to Clark Gable, who had preordered it well in advance. The XK120 came with a removable windscreen and could hit a solid 120mph..
- The 2014 Superbowl advert for Jaguar featured Brit actors Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong, with a terrified Tom Hiddlestone hanging out of a helicopter as it flew across London. Not many people know that the driver used for this advert was The Stig (Ben Collins).
- Jaguar was bought out by Ford in 1990, but they didn't really capitalise on the investment. Eventually, Ford sold Jaguar to the current owners, the Indian company Tata Motors.
